Open to Colorado students grades 6-12
Public, private, and homeschool students are eligible for one entry
1st - $30
2nd- $25
3rd- $20
Contest Rules
Submit 2 copies of one poem, single spaced with no more than 35 lines including space lines on a single page with no line having more than 60 characters including spaces and punctuation
Poems should have a title. Use only standard 12 pt font, no illustrations
In the upper left corner out the division (junior for middle school, senior for high school)
On 1st copy only in the upper left corner, under the division type the student name, address, and student phone number. In the upper right corner, type the school name and address, student grade level, and teacher name.
At the bottom of the 1st copy only please type the following: "This poem is my original work, and has not been copied in whole or part from any author's poems in print or posted on the Internet." and sign your name
The 2nd copy must be anonymous with NO identifying information of student, school, or state
Envelopes must be postmarked or electronically submitted no later than January 10th, 2019
Winners will be available in March. No poems will be returned. Winners lists will be posted on https://columbinepoetsofcolorado.com after all winners have been notified

Teachers may send poems from two divisions in a single envelope, but please separate the Junior division from the Senior division into different stacks. Do not staple stacks together
